Have you ever wondered why Jesus was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver?  Why not 20 or 50 pieces of silver?  Or why we’re told in the Gospel according to John that exactly 153 large fish were caught in the fishing net?  Are these details included to simply give greater authenticity or is there a much deeper meaning, running throughout the entire Bible, which has been largely missed by the Church today?  These questions are among those answered in my new book, Born2Redemption which is about the greatest love story explored through the lens of money, particularly focusing on the word ‘redemption’ which simply means to buy back.  Born2Know emphasised God’s numbers relating to time, whereas Born2Redemption emphasises God’s numbers relating to money. 

The book begins by identifying Adam’s problem and his need of redemption because of his sin.  The answer unfolds by examining why Jesus was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver and relies heavily on the book of Leviticus (yes, I know, everyone’s favourite book!).  Characters such as Abraham and Sarah, Lot, Joseph, Rahab, Boaz and Ruth, Hosea and Gomer and the prophets Jeremiah and Daniel all provide pictures to aid in understanding God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ.

It also contains one of the most astounding time calculations regarding the Passover Feast, the Day of Atonement and the Year of Jubilee.  The 24 elders and the 144,000 in the book of Revelation are explored and the final chapter explains the significance of the 153 large fish. 

When is the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ? What are Daniel’s 70 weeks? Are we in the ‘end times’? Will there be a rapture or raptures? Who is the beast with the number 666? Why 1,290 days? Why 1,335 days? Will there be a literal 1,000 year kingdom?
