1 ABehold-2a what manner of love the father has Agiven to us, that we might Pbe called-a children of God. On account of this, the world Aknows1 us not, because it Aknow1–2a him not.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God and not yet Preveal-a what we will be. Moreover, we have Aknown3 that if he (might) Pmanifest-a, we will be like him, because we will MDsee him according as he is.
3 And every(the)one Ahaving this the hope on him, Apurifies himself according as that one is pure.
4 Every(the)one Adoing the sin, also Adoes the lawlessness; and the sin is the lawlessness.
5 And yous have Aknown3 that, that one Pmanifest-a that he might Atake away-a the sins of us; and sin is not in him.
6 Every(the)one Aabiding in him Asins not; every(the)one Asinning, has not Aseen him nor has Aknown1 him.
7 Little children, let no one Alead yous astray; the one Adoing the righteousness Ais righteous, according as that one is righteous.
8 The one Adoing the sin is out of the devil because from beginning the devil Asins. Into this the son of (the) God Pmanifest-a, that he might Aloose-a the deeds of the devil.
9 Every(the)one having been MorPborn out of (the) God, Adoes not sin because seed of him Aabides in him and he is not MorPable to Asin because he has been MorPborn out of (the) God.
10 In this, the children of (the) God and the children of the devil are manifest: every(the)one not Adoing righteousness is not out of (the) God and the one not Aloving the brother of him,
11 because this is the message which yous Ahear-a from beginning that we might Alove one another,
12 not according as Cain, he was out of the evil one and Aslay-a the brother of him and for what cause Aslay-a him? Because the deeds of him were evil, moreover, those of the brother of him, righteous.
13 Yous Amarvel not, brothers of mine, if the world Ahates yous.
14 We have Aknown3 that we have Adeparted out of the death into the life, because we Alove the brothers. The one not Aloving the brother Aabides in the death.
15 Every(the)one Ahating the brother of him is murderer; and yous have Aknown3 that every murderer Ahas not age-lasting life Aabiding in him.
16 In this, we have Aknown1 the love, because that one Alay down-a the soul of him for the sake of us and we Aought to Alay down the souls for the sake of the brothers.
17 Moreover, whoever might Ahave the livelihood of the world and might Alook at the brother of him Ahaving need and might Ashut up-a the bowels of him, from him, how the love of (the) God Aabides in him?
18 Little children of mine, we might not Alove by word nor by tongue, but by deed and by truth
19 and in this we Aknow1 that we are out of the truth and before him we will Apersuade the hearts of us,
20 that if the heart (might) Afinds fault with us, that (the) God is greater than the heart of us and Aknows1 all.
21 Beloved, if the heart of us (might) Afinds no fault of us, we Ahave boldness with (the) God
22 and if what we (might) Aask, we receive from beside him because we Akeep the commandments of him and we Ado the pleasing things in sight of him.
23 And this is the commandment of him, that we might Abelieve-a in the name of the son of him, Jesus Christ and we might Alove one another, according as he Agive-a commandment to us.
24 And the one Akeeping the commandments of him, Aabides in him and he in him. And in this we Aknow1 that he Aabides in us out of the spirit that he Agive-a to us.
